Staff Faith Forum
The University launched its new Staff Faith Forum on the
10 December 2009 as a result of legislative consultations for religion, belief or none. During our first year we organised a number of interdenominational events including Armistice Day and Holocaust remembrance services and a number of faith workshops.
This new staff network has been established to reflect the diverse faith and belief systems of University staff and to provide a relevant reference point. The Forum is open to colleagues of all faiths and none and aims to offer guidance, information and faith support both informally and formally.
Colleagues attending our meetings will have the opportunity to discuss faith and belief issues or concerns. They can input into the work place agenda that will enhance their working experience and network with colleagues from different areas across the University.
All meetings and events take place in the new Multi Faith Centre which is located in University House. The Centre comprises of two large independent spaces that can be utilised separately or together as well as a Centre office for our faith mentors and advisors. We are in the first phase of establishing a prayer book and religious artefacts collection and would welcome any contributions from any faith or religious group.
