Equality Monitoring

Equality and Diversity Statistical information

The public sector duty of the Equality Act 2010 requires that public sector organisations publish equality information by the 31st January each year.

This Web page has been created to help staff across the University to access equality monitoring data and reports to assist with the completion of Equality Analysis (EA) and help with other aspects of E & D monitoring. Governance Services Unit and the Planning and Performance Unit have published equality and diversity data relating to both staff and students.

As well as meeting our public duty, effective data gathering and reporting is essential to support equality and diversity (E & D) monitoring. E & D data can be used to monitor the effects of policies, practices and activities on staff and students from all equality groups and identify where there may be an adverse effect on particular groups. In turn, this can help to identify positive changes that can be made to improve equality and diversity in every aspect of Higher Education life including student access, student satisfaction, staff recruitment employment and training.

Due to the Web site being updated a copy of the latest monitoring report can be requested from Rosie Qureshi, Equality and Diversity Support and Advice Officer.
